This is a photo of Tritan Lake, looking back at Powerscourt Estate in County Wicklow, Ireland. The house was originally a 13th century castle, but was extensively altered between 1731 to 1741. A fire in 1974 left the house as a burnt out shell, until it was renovated in 1996. Today the estate is owned and run by the Slazenger family, famous for specialising in manufacturing sporting goods, particularly for tennis and cricket.

This photo was taken using a Nikon D4s DSLR with a Nikon 24mm f/1.4 wide angle lens. The photo was first imported into DXO Pro Optics 9 to iron out any small anomalies, it was then taken into Photoshop CS6 where I created 5 different exposures (-2 through +5) out of a single image. From there I merged the images into 1 HDR file using Photomatix Pro 5, then I applied a filter to the HDR image using Topaz Labs Clarity. Finally, I amended the levels slightly using Lightroom 5.

Thanks for looking!
