GLIT.CH Karaoke at Machines By Other Means
Devised by London based writers, artists and self proclaimed ‘wannabe hackers’, Kyoung Kim and Daniel Rourke, GLIT.CH Karaoke utilised the variable strengths of internet connections and streamed karaoke videos from websites such as YouTube to encourage audiences both online and in person to participate in global sing-a-longs. The project aimed to expose the course of accidents, temporal lyrical disjoints and technical out-of syncs by instigating trans-global links with karaoke parties taking place around the world via Skype.
