Connect to battery
Remove the backpanel covering the battery from the amp (in our case the Ashton BSK 158) and attach the wires to the battery terminals. The Shure PGX4 (the wireless receiver we're using) has a polarity protecting diode in it (you'd think they'd put one in), so while you're experimenting with which wire goes on which terminal you won't blow it up.
The BSK 158's battery does slide out - turn the amp up and shake it to get it to come out. It's much easier with the battery out. Use the good old black gaffer tape to secure the wire.
