HISTORIC INFO

- The original single line steel lattice rail bridge seen here was a real bottleneck on the Illawarra line & was replaced on 27 Nov 1972 with a newer double line concrete structure, immediately to the west of the old bridge.

- Later, the old bridge was refurbished & re-purposed as a dual-use pedestrian/cycle path, opening to the public on 15 Dec 1985.

- Digitized using a Canon Canoscan 8800F scanner.

- Initially restored from the badly faded & scratched original B&W quality using Adobe Photoshop CS Windows (sepia duo-tone version).

- Subsequently replaced with AI colourized & enhanced version.
