HAMPTON GAY MANOR HOUSE, Thrupp, Oxford.

Over the Cherwell from Thrupp. Gutted by fire in 1887.

The story goes that the manor was cursed when the owner refused to help the injured after a nearby train crash in 1874.

There is a possibility that some restoration may be attempted.

There was a whole village here, but only the church remains intact.
