Dark Temple
Perched upon the most precarious of the ridges of Black Mountain, and straddled across its abysmal chasm, sits the Dark Temple.
Legend whispers tales of the crypts that lie beneath the Dark Temple and of the gates that open upon the reeking darkness of the chasm, and of the monstrous demons that slumber far below, awaiting the call of the Dark Monks.
On moonless nights, when the breeze shifts West from the peaks of Black Mountain, travelers have caught the strains of a noisome chanting, and have fled in terror of some unknown presence; and, thereafter, some have been driven insane by unspeakable visions that persist with cancerous regularity in their dreams.
