Feeling Sad!!

Victor is well and truly out of his box!

Some may disagree, but I happen to believe that here in the UK we can be proud that, at it's best, the British countryside can rival any in the world in the beauty stakes. Today I had the pleasure of wandering through a beautiful shaded area of wild garlic, hidden within a beautiful wood managed (very well) by the National Trust. The smell and the sight of the 'snow like' covering was fantastic and a beautiful compliment to a nearby Bluebell wood. BUT... just 100 or so yards down the path, and still well within the National Trust wood, I came across the most heinous example of fly tipping I've seen in a while. Children's toys, paper, comics, chairs, carpet and all-sorts of other disgusting household junk. This was a mere 500 yards from the main road. I am so mad that these SCUM (there are many other words available in the OED that I would prefer to use, but won't for fear of offending my friends) feel that for the sake of a few quid that they can spoil the enjoyment of many and potentially cause irreparable damage to an ancient woodland.

I called the Nat Trust; they are on to it; police and council informed; evidence check carried out and incriminating information found; photographs taken; offending articles being left in place until witch hunt completed!

That is all (well possibly not!!) — feeling sad.
