100 Strangers #28/100 - Cynthia

This is my twenty-eighth portrait for 100 Strangers.

Hola my friends; please meet Cynthia; this may not be a traditional '100 Strangers' but here goes.

I'd just viewed the Conflict Time Photography exhibition at Tate Modern and was out on the balcony taking shots of London when Cynthia approached me; she asked if she could be in one of my pictures! I'm under no illusions, Cynthia was in love with the Canon 5D! Cynthia is a young Spanish lady from Gran Canaria who is about to start a politics degree at Madrid University and was doing the London 'thing' before starting her studies. The shot was taken with me lying on the floor and looking up at Cynthia with the smoke stack of the old Bankside power station behind her.

I was using my 5DMkIII with the 24-105mm kit lens. Processed in Silver Efex Pro, I used only the available light.

Cynthia I hope you like your portrait; thank you and needless to say we are no longer strangers. Adiós señorita X

I intend to make this a 100 strangers in B&W with maybe the odd splash of colour!

This picture is #28 in my 100 strangers project. Find out more about the project and see pictures taken by other photographers at the 100 Strangers Flickr Group page
