100 Strangers #17/100 - John
This is my seventeenth portrait for 100 Strangers.
It is my pleasure to introduce John. After Dockey Wood, I moved down the road to the less busy Crawley Wood where the bluebells are not as carpet like, but beautiful nonetheless. While walking round I passed John who was taking a panorama of the wood. We chatted for a while and I asked him if he would be a willing victim for 100 Strangers; he readily agreed. John's first love is gardens, formal ones, although today he was at Ashridge to photograph one of natures' natural gardens.
Please visit John's Flickr page at www.flickr.com/photos/ukgardenphotos/ and see his beautiful photographs. John, who hails from south Bedfordshire, only converted to digital about a year ago and I got this candid shot of him smiling after I jokingly criticised his poor choice of Nikon.
I used only available light with a my EF 24-105mm f/4 L series lens.
John I hope you like your portrait; needless to say we are no longer strangers :-)
I intend to make this a 100 strangers in B&W with maybe the odd splash of colour!
This picture is #17 in my 100 strangers project. Find out more about the project and see pictures taken by other photographers at the 100 Strangers Flickr Group page
