100 Strangers #8/100 - Biljana

This is my eighth portrait for 100 Strangers.

I'm not sure if this truly qualifies as a '100 Stranger' shot but here goes. I'd gone into Trafalgar Sq to try and take a shot inspired by Jamie Frith www.flickr.com/photos/79688583@N03/12853886905/ (Thanks Jamie)

It was very busy so getting a clear shot with just one person was going to be difficult. I noticed Biljana (sic) and her friend were just about to jump down from the raised area at the base of Nelson's Column so I rushed over and asked if they would mind posing; unfortunately there was quite a language barrier so I was unable to ask them much more as to why they were there; shame! Although I was unable to explain '100 Strangers' to them, I did give them my card with all the details. Again here I've used the Canon 100-400mm @ 200mm so as to get that foreshortening effect. So thank you Biljana and friend we are no longer strangers. :-).

I intend to make this a 100 strangers in B&W with maybe the odd splash of colour!

This picture is #8 in my 100 strangers project. Find out more about the project and see pictures taken by other photographers at the 100 Strangers Flickr Group page
