On 11th September, 2017, Department of Food, Nutrition and Dietetics had successfully conducted a workshop on Critical Care Nutrition in collaboration with IAPEN (Indian Association of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition) on 11th of September, 2017. IAPEN is the additional link to the already existing chain consisting of American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (ASPEN), European (ESPEN), Australian (AusPEN), Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition Society of Asia(PENSA) and South African(SASPEN) Societies. Workshop started with lamp lighting ceremony followed by welcome address by Dr. Ananya Kashyap. The invited speakers for the workshop were Bibhu Moni Singha, fitness expert & sports nutritionist who delivered talk on “Obesity-a threat to our health and life style-finding ways and solutions to control it” followed by Dr. Mridul Kumar Sarma, Asst. Professor Dept of Oncology, GMCH who delivered talk on “Nutritional Aspects of Cancer Care” and Dr Subhankar Paul, MBBS, MD delivered talk on Nutritional Therapy In Critically Ill Burn Patients. The workshop was ended by vote of thanks by Dr B. G. Unni, Director of Research, Assam down town University
