Cheetah

Cheetahs are extremely rare in West Africa and only 15 individuals are estimated to survive in the Pendjari.

Cheetahs in West Africa have a paler coat than in other parts of Africa and are thought to be more closely related to Asian cheetahs than to Eastern and Southern Africa's cheetahs.
