Lexie, Aaron and Howie the Shih Tzu (#87/100)
It was so very hot at Pooch Plunge at the Wet Zone in Rowlett, Texas. You see, the last day of the community pool season, they open the pool to dogs and their humans. It is such a fun event with dogs running off leash, jumping in the pool with their humans and meeting new canine friends. All breeds and all sizes and they all got along so well! Now if only the rest of the world could do the same!
As I was standing in the shade trying to cool off, I struck up a conversation with Lexie and Aaron and got to meet precious little Howie. And would you believe... Howie is 11 years old! Their other dog Buddy, the labrador, was also there but he was partying with the other dogs.
They very kindly agreed to join in the Stranger Challenge and I got this photo as they were rehydrating. They very kindly offered me an ice cold water, but I was on my way to get a pina colada slushie.
By then, the sweat was dripping down my face and I was slushie bound. Thank you Lexie, Aaron and Howie for the photo op!
