You can do this...

Last year when we moved into our "new" home, post tornado, my friends Lorraine and Mike surprised me with this lovely tub filled with plants for my little garden. I was so thrilled, but even more excited when I heard the rest of the story.

I had given Lorraine some rudbeckia plants from my garden quite a few years ago. They have since reseeded themselves and she now has them along one side of her house. They are definitely "Texas tough"! And there's a lot to be said for that!

Well, this is exactly the plant that she chose to return to me to start my garden. And it seems that their resident wild bunny (Fletcher) likes them too. Mike had taken the photo of the bunny eating the flowers and included it with my gift! His photo hangs in my computer room now and I see it every day!

And I am glad to report that those flowers bloomed beautifully last year through our hot summer, reseeded themselves and are now popping up out of the ground to bring more joy and beauty to my garden again this year.

Thank you Lorraine and Mike for your kindness!

And now, it is time to go plant a flower and spread the joy!
