Remembrance Day

I REMEMBER the red used to be made of fabric/fiber.
As a teenager, I would volunteer a week before Remembrance Day going from door to door for the donation. On November 11th the day itself, I would be on duty as the first aider with the St John's Ambulance Brigade in the parade march first; then later in any public locations as assigned. After that, the poppy was proudly pinned on the cork board and when I looked up from my study desk, I remembered my November week with time well spent!!!
