White Star Line steamer Owana (1907)

White Star Line steamer Owana leaving Detroit in 1907. My colorization of an image in the Library of Congress archive.

The Owana, built in 1899, was first named Pennsyvania. In 1905 it was purchased by the White Star Line and renamed Owana. All White Star steamers, including Owana, were authorized to carry mail and had a US Mail sign in the bow.
