Biddulph Grange Garden: golden branches

Autumn colour glows along a path in Biddulph Grange Garden (Staffordshire, west-central England), on an overcast morning in mid-October. This Victorian-period garden, now in the care of the National Trust, includes sections representing different parts of the world and periods in time. National Trust gardeners have been careful to feature plants used during the Victorian period.
