Preparing For Transport.
4 Pounds 10 ounce, 18 inches long (she’s not standing yet, so we can’t say “tall”)
Last Thursday Kali went in for a checkup and they found that the baby was in distress and had lost some weight according to the sonogram. They put her in the hospital to watch things and by midnight they decided to go in and take the baby. Nathan said that when they took her out that the cord kind of disintegrated before they could cut it, she was probably not getting the nourishment and oxygen that she should have been getting. The Doctor said that she had never seen that before. The oxygen count of the baby was 70% when it came out so they put it on oxygen. They decided she had Persistent Pulmonary Hypertension of the Newborn, and to send it to KC. They had to send a special team up from there to take her and Nathan (the Dad) back down there. They kept Kali up here one other night and then let my son, Mark take her down there to be with her baby. They’ve named her Kainsley Raelyn McCrary but I don’t know what she will be called. I think that it all means that I’m married to a Great Grand Mother now. Oh well, I can’t help that, I’ll keep her anyway. I’ve not seen the baby yet, I took pictures of pictures to get these pictures, is why they are not too good (of course none of my pictures are great)
