Never Far Behind (or In Front)

We have been needing a dog for around the house that well be ok with the chickens and goats. Some Amish had a litter they were selling at a nice price so I had Galen pick up a female for us (it was just as well as they had no more males). She is around 10 weeks old when we got her a week or so ago. When I closed up the chickens the first night after dark, she thought that she would grab one on the floor but thought better of it after a plastic pipe I keep in there contacted her side out of the dark. Now she just likes to kind of run at them to get them to move when we are out and around doing chores. She stops when I call her down. She has got tangled up with my feet a few times when I am walking but is getting better at giving me room to walk. A lot of the time she will go among the chickens and not move them. She got the goats terrified the first time I took her to the barn to put the goats in their stalls but they are getting more used to her and the cats are too. If she knows that I’m outside she is right with me. She is careful of Big John as she thinks the donkey it too big.
