The Sound of Silence

This is one of the official 'silent areas' in Belgium located in the Gerhagen forests.

 

It's a place where sounds of nature rule over all other sounds.

 

You cannot believe the quietness of these places.

 

When I was photographing this area, I heard those tiny little clicking sounds in my camera that I had never noticed before.

 

I could even hear the scratching sound of the metal spring beneath the shutter button.

 

It was quiet an experience.
