Bore-Stroke Comparison

A comparison of the same engine with two different crankshafts.

 

What it comes down to is a choice between speed and power (Clarkson!). The larger stroke crankshaft seems like the best option. A 20.6% decrease in actual rpm yields a theoretical* 212% increase in torque.

 

*I have no way of measuring actual torque, so geometry and physics will have to do.
