The new weak link: the chain. No pun intended, but it's begun to slip. This causes the camshaft to fall farther and farther behind the crankshaft until it will no longer produce enough power to spin fast enough to jump anymore. While this may sounds like a reasonable safety feature, safety is for the meek and I shall have none of it on my engine. >:|
