Arctic Poppy - Papaver radicatum - Melasól. South-east Iceland
On a black shingle beach in South-East Iceland. This is the only native poppy in Iceland. The only other poppy found in Iceland is called the Iceland Poppy, but it isn't a native species to Iceland!!..... it only occurs as a garden escape.
