Week 2 Elimination

Hello girls and welcome to your second judging in 'The Face'! You have all been here before so you know that elimination isn't always a very enjoyable time but its the point of the game as at the end, only one of you girls will be left standing and be crowned 'The Face'.

 

You know our judges,

 

London Lux - Model, socialite, actress, singer, designer, producer and all-round tough cookie. This young girl has done it ALL - and she's not even 21 yet! She knows what is big in the idustry and she knows who is has what it takes to succeed in the industry, and those who don't.

 

Dexton Lumiere - Worldwide and highly in-demand male model who has worked all over the globe for brands such as GUCCI, GUESS, Ralph Lauren and DKNY.

 

And myself, Hayden Williams - Newly-found model whose career is about to blow up. She has already been signed to POLLY. Model Management aswell as scoring a cover for POLLY. Magazine. She is a name to lookout for in the future and will be headjudge for the whole of the cycle.

 

 

Now lets talk about those all important prizes! The winner of 'The Face' will recieve...

Now we will begin deliberation. For you girls' second photoshoot of the series, you were taken to all new heights as you were asked to all pose in the same couture gown...on top of a Skyscraper! From what I heard a lot of you girls struggled and there was a lot of model tears but we shall see if they show in each of you guys photos. This theme was all about working with the wind and managing to pull through and remain fierce even though you were being blown all over the joint!

 

Now lets begin judging! The first girl up for deliberation is Veronica...

 

Veronica: www.flickr.com/photos/87945352@N07/8396473743/in/photostr... - This photo is a bit of a hit and miss for us Veronica. You do look very classy and elegant here and the pose is fine but its just a very dull looking photo as a whole. Its very safe and boring and nothing really catches out to us. Your face also looks a little too tensed here, this may have been the nerves kicking in but just try to relax yourself more in photoshoots and we'd like to see you show a little more softness also.

 

Alex: www.flickr.com/photos/87945352@N07/8397557230/in/photostr... - As always, your eyes are just piercing right through here Alex and you are really connecting with the camera even with your hair and the wind hitting you at goodness knows how many miles an hour! But the problem is you are resting too much on your prettyness and you aren't bringing much to the table versitility wise. You need to start changing up your face and your posing because you are starting to look like a one-trick pony. You have been branded 'unmemorable' by the public which is not a very good thing at all...

 

Vienna: www.flickr.com/photos/87945352@N07/8397547550/in/photostr... - A decent shot from you Vienna. Its nothing amazing but its certainly not a bad shot. You remind us as almost a sort of Bond-girl here, you have a real star-like quality to you and its really showing here. You managed to keep yourself looking fierce which was the aim of the shoot. However, members of the public said your photo fell a little flat which we have to agree with, its very mediocre and we know that you are capable of delivering something even more amazing than this.

That wind has hit you PERFECTLY here Letitia - the hair looks crazy good and you are making the dress look good and appealing to the audience without even having to touch it. Personally, we think your alien-esque look is perfect for this sort of shoot but the public seem to be turning on you an awful lot. Your look isn't everyone's cup of tea and we aren't expecting everyone to like you but we would like to start seeing a different look from you in future shoots.

From going from the top of the pack last week to falling all the way to the bottom this week, you are just completely all over the place in this photo. Your body says 'hip-hop/street dancer' while your face looks uncomfortable and out of place and it simply does not work with the tone of the shoot nor the dress. You were one of the girls that struggled a lot with the height and it shows in your photo.

 

Whitney: www.flickr.com/photos/87945352@N07/8396475247/in/photostr... - There's simply no denying that your face photographs beautifully and you are definitly give us high-end model in the face department but your body is very unflattering and awkward. The hunched look makes you appear shorter and the arms down makes this shot look almost like a test shot. Even though this isn't your fault, the makeup isn't working with your look and it almost makes you look a little cheap here.

 

Perrie: www.flickr.com/photos/87945352@N07/8396474755/in/photostr... - We love that you took a risk and decided to do a profile shot Perrie as it really makes your shot POP out of all the other girls' photos. We think that you are complimenting the dress here which is good and we kind of like the sleepyness that we see in your eyes. The main problem here however is that your face and body look very disconnected with each other and aren't really working alongside one another. This photo isn't the worst but we think you still need to learn your angles.

We saved you from being sent home last week because we thought you had potential and you have really proven to us that you can make it in the industry with this shot because you are looking totally in-control of this photo and your surroundings. The height and wind didn't seem to have affected you as you are piercing through here and your green eyes look simply gorgeous. Most importantly, you are wearing the dress and it is not wearing you. Great job!

 

Maya: www.flickr.com/photos/87945352@N07/8397559846/in/photostr... - This photo is frustrating for us because in person you are absolutely stunning and you literally LOOK like a model but so far in your photos, you do not. You look really old and tired in this photo - as if you just got out of bed and had to do a shoot straight away. You have a very editorial look that we thought would've worked extremely well for this kind of shoot but you have not delivered up to your expectation here which is dissapointing for us.

 

Rosie: www.flickr.com/photos/87945352@N07/8397549244/in/photostr... - This is definitly an improvement from last week Rosie and we can tell that gradually, your confidence is beginning to grow. On set, you were a total wreck and you also appeared to have a bit of an anxiety attack but we praise you for managing to push that aside and deliver an all-in-all good shot. There is still a little bit of fear in your face here, but there is also this innocence and purity that we are really liking about this shot. All of the other girls took a much more fiercer root whereas you decided to go down a different, more natural route which we personally think was a wise decision.

We can tell you gave it your all but you are still not bringing anything to the table for us. The pose is very lackluster and we're not a fan of the looking-into-the-distance look here as we think eye contact would have made this shot look a million times better. We don't think that you are a very editorial model and you have still yet to show us you have the potential to really become 'The Face'...

This shoot was definitly up your street and we can tell that you were just oozing confidence and you are definitly in control of everything going on around you. You have the most high-end fashion look out of all the girls here and you have definitly lived up to your expectation here as this is a really great photo to say that this is only week 2 of the competition! The left arm is a little bit off for us, but its not a major fault in our eyes. Awesome job this week!

 

Felix: www.flickr.com/photos/87945352@N07/8396473249/in/photostr... - You look very elegant and sophisticated here Felix - never would we have guessed that you were on the skyline of a Skyscraper! Your pose reminds us of a swan as it looks very majestic as if you were riding through the skys in a graceful manor. You are definitly a favourite among the public and you have totally managed to keep your winning streak from last week as you have managed to deliver another great shot. Keep this up and you will go far for sure!

 

 

The judges and I have discussed and have come to a decision as to which of you girls will be the next to leave the competition.

Bottom Two...

 

Would Charley and Nik please step forward. Tonight, one of you will be leaving the competition for good. Two beautiful girls stand before me but both of you failed to impress this week.

 

Charley, the quirky, bubbly and always energetic blonde with the vintage and uniquely appealing look. You have everything a top model could have and more and you really do light up a room as soon as you walk in and charm just about everyone you meet. However, all of your photos thus far have been less than amazing and members of the public have deemed you as not a model. Do you really have the potential and that certain feel to become 'The Face'?

 

Nik, the girl who hit it out of the park last week with her alluring and seductive shot but this week, you fell all the way towards the bottom. This worries us as judges as a model needs to be consitant. We worry that you'd turn up to a shoot and not be able to deliver what the client wants. You're a gorgeous girl but we can't help but think, was last weeks stunning shot just a flook? Could you actually become 'The Face'?

 

 

So who stays? Charley, the bright spark in the competition who has potential, but struggles to use what she has? Or Nik, the 'ghetto' girl with the commercial and photogenic look but we feel struggles with keeping herself consistant?

Charley we are sorry that you have to leave us so early on in the competition. We think your personality is definitly your selling point so we would suggest that maybe trying out acting or maybe presenting would be a great career path for you. Goodbye and goodluck!
