Painted Turtles Monotype

4x6 inches, monotype on rice paper, with watercolor

 

Years ago I took a snapshot of this pair of painted turtles, but I never played with the image until today. I had to resist the urge to keep fiddling, adding more detail. This is the first time I used all black Createx paint on the plate, then added watercolor afterward, and I like the effect.
