From the Mediterranean to the Atlantic

We rode about fairly comfortable 60km per travelling-day. This way of travelling is really recommendable. You get in close touch with people and everywhere you are well received. Foldable bikes are frankly THE solution. As long als stowed in a bag (see "TGV Paris-Strasbourg"), you carry it as a suitcase in any train, bus or ship. Even the TGV! With 24 gears they are appropriate for mounainous regins and even steep slopes.

Wir sind etwa 60km pro Reisetag gefahren, also eher gemütlich. Die Reiseart ist sehr zu empfehlen. Man kommt mit den Leuten in direkten Kontakt, wird überall nett aufgenommen. Und diese Falträder sind überhaupt genial, denn man darf sie in jedem Zug oder Bus mitnehmen. Man muss sie nur in einen Beutel packen (siehe TGV Paris-Strasbourg). Mit 24 Gängen sind sie absolut bergtauglich.
