Manchester Victoria Redevelopment
Photographed in 1993 from the signal box at Manchester Victoria West Junction after removal of the station roof & reduction of the track layout leaving in total just 4 through roads.
A few months after this shot had been taken,this site had been cleared & lines slewed to make way for the arena & the arena car park.
Most,(if not all) of the site in this view now lies under the concrete of the Manchester arena.
The footbridge now passes roughly right through where West Junction box once stood.
I miss the old Victoria.
