At the tree nursery in La Liberdad in Guatemala, seeds are prepared for planting. Some tropical seeds require the heat of fire before they can sprout. This ramon tree seed, which usually requires fire before sprouting, has been artificially enduced to sprout by submerging it in boiling water for one minute followed by five minutes in warm water. It works just like fire.
