Black Sun Customs
Crew Chief
This figure featured my first serious camo test. It was made during World War Brick 2016, and features many interesting parts.
-The helmet itself I got from Jeremy, who claimed it was a failed project of his. The facemask and sunglasses were actually glued to the black Stormtrooper head, but I was able to pry it off. Because of this, I did not actually assemble the removable facemask, I just gave it a paint job. I'm not sure how the sunglasses were made, but they do look great. The minifig cat helmet was painted by me.
-The vest, along with the torso, was purchased and painted at WWB. The torso is a black BDU Citizen Brick torso, While the best itself is a Brickarms Modern vest. both feature paint jobs by me.
-The legs, hips, and head were all custom painted. There are Tiny Tactical pouches featured on the arm and legs.
-The rifle is actually my favorite part of the figure. It started off as a swirled green ModFuse Brickarms rifle, but after extensive modding, I was able to turn it into a fully functional ModCom rifle. it required some drilling and a few pegs were glued into place. As you can see, the original heatshield and grip, sights, magazine and stock were all removed to make room for the ModCom pieces.
This figure had been kicking around my desk for a couple years now, and it is only with Chris's help that I was able to upload it to Flickr. Chris did an amazing job with the few photos I had saved of the figure, editing the pictures perfectly.
Fun fact, the background was actually a photo that I took during my deployment. I thought it'd look nice with the modern military figure.
Special thanks to Chris, Jeremy, Will, and Joe for making this figure possible.
