Simpson Desert Challenge
In May 2013, 22 Youngcare supporters will spend 8 days trekking 300km across the Simpson Desert to experience what life might be like for a young person living in aged care - an existence comprised of isolation, restrictions and little decision-making ability. It will be a daily mental and physical battle, but these trekkers will change the lives of thousands of young Australians in desperate need.
In 2011, 24 Youngcare supporters embarked on the Simpson Desert Challenge. Collectively they raised more than $1million for Youngcare........excerpts from Youngcare pamphlets
