Large Splash

I was looking for a larger concave surface to coat with NeverWet and found this old satellite dish. A trip to the auto parts store got me a can of Bondo to fill the holes in the dish.

I need to work on the lighting because I don't know what I am doing.

This NeverWet stuff is a total joke as a real product. It's sensitive as hell to most any environmental conditions. I had a flat panel sprayed with the stuff sitting in my garage and somehow it lost it's hydrophobic properties for reasons I can't figure out.

Soap kills it, hand oils kill it, mild rubbing kills it. It peels easily and makes any fabric feel like sandpaper. And finally it makes any surface look like it's covered in frosted sugar. It irritates me that Rustoleum released it as a real product...

Another hot muggy day here in Camarillo. The weather forecast keeps revising the temperature up as the days go forward.

I am kind of a loss on what to do with the day as the garage turns into a sauna. It early morning inside and I am already sweating just sitting here. The mild summer is definitely over.
