Needs More Flags
I was going through some old unused targets and saw these flag mugs and decided to toss them. They have been hanging around too long.
Then I got the simple idea of adding lots of flags and blowing them up. The flags were quickly downloaded and printed at various sizes. The end result was more fun than I expected.
For a long time I used to get way too bothered by people, often politicians, who try and use the flag as a symbol to advance their own cause. As if the number of flags you could display indicated your degree of patriotism...
It's overuse as a political symbol made me kind "flag-shy" for a long time. I also resented "them" for ruining a perfectly good symbol.
Nowadays it doesn't bother me as much. I don't know why for sure. And I can also enjoy the flag as a pretty bold graphic statement.
Like here. I don't have any hidden message or position to outline. I just wanted to blow up an arrangement of paper flags...
Cheers.
