Overzoomed Impact

I was doing a series of shoots today and decided to get rid of a couple of old snow globes.

This one had an impact that was way too early.

I just decided to zoom up on it because this pattern is is the essence of high speed photography.

The projectile, steel, the target, glass. The mist of the actual impact zone and the rapidly spreading cracks in the glass.

In a few hundreds of microseconds everything will be chaos, but for now order rules.

The kiss of death.

Cheers.
