Franchise Reflection
Yesterday I went to a local Greek (ish) franchise to get Kathy and I some comfort food. The reflection of the blue light looked nice so I grabbed my camera and clicked away.
I came home and we ate sitting in bed (rare) and watched DVDs. A terrible Yellowstone video by National Geographic started. It was full of fake zooms and false drama. Why anyone in their right mind would see the need to make a perfect location like Yellowstone into some sort of cheap action movie escapes me.
Dreadful.
Then we put on the movie "The Conformist". I haven't been so excited by a movie in a long time. The colors, patterns and scenic beauty is amazing. We actually stopped watching after a half hour and agreed to savor it in smaller doses.
The local weather is another story. I am officially depressed by the situation. We have had a month of on and off Santa Ana's. Today was 86 degrees. Tomorrow is supposed to be the same. And next week appears to be heading the same direction.
It feels so helpless to be on a planet populated by people who are unwilling or unable to see more than one week into the future. And led by people who are only willing to serve those with the most money.
Too bad.
