Vega - North Star of the Future
A shot of the bright star Vega I captured Saturday morning (April 18) at Frosty Drew Observatory in Charlestown, Rhode Island, USA. Vega is found in the constellation Lyra, is the fifth brightest star in the night sky, and resides at 25 light years distant. Vega is a north pole star candidate due to Earth's axial precession and will be Earth's North Star in about 11,000 years.
