In 1872 a shipment of Dahlia juarezii from Mexico to The Netherlands revitalised interest in and love for Dahlias. The rest, as we know is history. In the photo two so-called Dark Dahlias: 'Black Jack' and 'Dark Princess. Their backdrop here is the trunk of a majestic Catalpa bignonioides.
