Joined Rivers. L'Orrido di Nesso, Nesso, Italy

Two rivers, the Tuf and the Nosè, tumbling down the steep mountain, join to make this waterful at Nesso on the eastern side of Lake Como. The conjoined river is bridged by a Roman structure as it enters the lake and it was described in colorful words by Leonardo da Vinci. On a hot day it's inviting to swimmers as we sail on for a cold beer in Como.
