Purple Column. Scutellaria columnae, Tall Skullcap, Hortus Botanicus, Amsterdam, The Netherlands

The Hortus has a small patch of this Columnated Skullcap. It hails from warmer parts of Europe but is now creeping north. It's relatively retriring and it was only by chance that Olymp cast his eye upon it. And here it is.
