Drab River, Fresh Green. Corylus avellana, Common Hazel, Océ-weerd, Meuse Corridor, Venlo, The Netherlands

All was drab as I walked down the right bank of the Meuse River at Venlo. It's been dull weather these last two weeks and trees are still winter-barren. And then in all that grey there was a single Common Hazel, with its nicely green male catkins. I climbed down the bank and Sammy got this shot against Meuse's waters.
