Straining towards the Low Sun. Grey Heron, Ardea cinerea, Abcoude, The Netherlands

The grey skies suddenly broke for a ray of light from the low Sun. It lit up nicely this Grey Heron. The great bird was foraging but raised its head as if to greet Bennu, the Sun God of the Egyptians, of which it is an avatar.
