Autumn Colors. Yellow Archangel, Lamium galeobdolon, on Acer palmatum, Japanese Maple, Hortus Botanicus, Amsterdam, The Netherlands

The Hortus has a fine collection of plants gathered by Carl Peter Thunberg (1743-1828). One of these is this shrub, a Japanese Maple. In Autumn it turns a loverly orange. The green leaves are the foliage of Yellow Archangel poking their way into a bit of light.

Done
