On the Rocks. Giant Carpenter Bee on Loosestrife, Japanese Pine, and Beach Rocks, Sado-ga-shima, Niigate, Japan

I suppose this scene could have been 'shot' just about everywhere on pretty - though a bit austere - Sado Island. Those rocks, the overhanging Japanese Pine Tree holding on for all its worth. And our well-travelled Black Carpenter Bee slaking its thirst from 'invasive' Loosestrife.
