Unchecked White. Fritillaria meleagris, Snake's Head Fritillary, Hortus Botanicus, Amsterdam, The Netherlands

In a flower bed in our Hortus usually each Spring full of those prettily checkered purple Fritillaries, I noticed today an unchecked proliferation of the white variety. 'Meleagris' refers to the color patterns of Guinea Fowl, but these white Fritillaries have none of those markings. They're pretty in their own right.
