Light of Day. Hyles gallii, Bedstraw Hawk Moth, Waterleidingduinen, Zandvoort, The Netherlands

Here's a wonderful day moth, that I've not seen before in the wild. In these parts it's relatively rare, the Hyles gallii or Bedstraw Hawk Moth. It was fltting about rather haphazardly around one of my favorite locations in the Waterleidingduinen, a small fen where Roe Deer like to slake their thirst. And I take a rest in a soft, sandy dune after a hike.
