Parked after Hovering. Comma Hoverfly, Eupeodes corollae, on Bellis perennis, Common Lawn Daisy, Frankendael, Amsterdam, The Netherlands

Frankendael Manor today is part of Amsterdam. When it was built and its gardens and wood landscaped it was a country house for the wealthy family who wanted to escape from the city's summer stench (www.flickr.com/photos/87453322@N00/17383495509/in/photoli...). It's the only manor of its kind still existing. Today a well-known restaurant with a beautiful, formal garden and an annex-wood, it's a favorite park even if the city no longer stinks.

Here's Bellis perennis, Common Lawn Daisy, with a Comma Hoverfly, Eupeodes corollae.
