Son of yesteryear's Sharmila Tagore, Saif started his career with Aashiq Awara, which bombed. Went through very bad career phase with strings of movies. Finally clicked along with Akshay Kumar's sidekick . The duo gave some hits together, but couldn't last long enough.

 

It was Dil Chahat Hai and Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mien, which turned Saif's career. Soom KJo & Yash Raj was betting upon this new khan - Kal Ho Na Ho, Hum Tum, Salaam Namaste and laterly OMKARA were just enough to prove next KHAN is coming !
