Shoshenq II Inner Coffin
Shoshenq II was a King of the 22nd Dynasty. Although he ruled 100 years after Psusennes I, He was buried in Psusennes' tomb complex. His mummy was housed inside two unusual Hawk-Headed Coffins, probably representations of the funerary god Sokar.
The Inner coffin was made of Cartonnage - a Linen and Plaster composite - and covered in Gold Leaf. The outer coffin was made of Silver, as were four miniature coffinets that held Sheshonq's internal organs.
