Yago (semi)beached
In Holland the meaning of the word beaching (Dutch: stranden) has a negative connotation. That's because the coast of Holland and Zeeland is a lee shore. Thousands of ships were wrecked on the banks and a lot of crew members of these ships - big and small - drowned in the waves of the cold North Sea. In France, Great Britain and the US people beach their boats for fun (when they have a flat bottomed boat).
Here I have beached my Yago on the shore of the Markermeer. An anchor line of 25 meters will help to pull her free. There are no tides on this big lake. The boat is grounded, but not on dry land as is usual in tidal waters. So I call this situation semi-beaching.
