The three of them walked down crime alley as fast as they could. They'd heard the stories about it, how people enter one end and don't come out at the other. How some nights you can see the blood of it's most recent victims. There hadn't been any murders lately though. The last one was a year ago.
"Come on Bruce, speed up a bit!" Said his anxious mother.
"Why?" Bruce asked
"You know why, Bruce. This is crime-"
"Thomas! I think we need to stop talking and start walking, don't you?" Interrupted Martha.
They walked on past another little alley way that lead of towards the docks. Thomas looked down it to see if anyone was hiding, but he found no one.
That was because they were hiding.
The man down the alley got up when he saw the family go past. He silently creeped up the narrow alley way, making sure he made no sounds. He poked his head round the corner to see the Waynes.
"Oh, that's Thomas Wayne! And his wife!" The man thought, "I bet they've got some cash on them!"
He walked up to the end of the alley, and pulled out his gun.
"Three..."
"We're nearly out of here now."
"Two..."
"Thank god nothing happened."
"One...
"Lets go home."
"HANDS UP!" Shouted the man. "PUT ALL YOUR VALUEBLES ON THE FLOOR WHERE I CAN SEE THEM!" He continued.
"Please, don't shoot!" Cried Martha.
"Well I'm sure I could save a bullet if you give me that lovely necklace of yours!" Said the attacker.
"No, don't give him that!" Said Thomas, "Take all my money, but not that necklace!"
"Why's that now?"
"It's an heirloom, please, have some respect."
"Hmm, okay, I'll leave it."
"Thank you."
"NOT!"
The man lunged towards Martha, grabbing the pearl necklace.
"AHH!" Screeched Martha.
"DON'T YOU DARE!" Bellowed Thomas.
Bruce stood watching all this. Luckily for him, the man had no interest in a child.
"Don't argue with me, rich boy!" Snapped the man.
"Give me that necklace." Growled Thomas.
"Come and get it."
So Thomas did that. He lunged towards the man, ripping the necklace from his hands.
"AH, SHIT!" Shouted the man, "YOU'LL BE SORRY FOR THAT!"
BANG
"THOMAS!" Cried Martha, "WHY-"
BANG
Martha fell to the ground. The man took everything and ran. Bruce stood over the dead bodies of his parents, watching their muderer run down the alley.
"Mum, dad?" He cried "Mum, please! Dad!" They didn't reply.
"No, please! Please!" He fell to his knees, sobbing. "PLEASE!"
He saw something shining in the moon light. The pearl necklace. He picked it up and put it against his heart.
"PLEASE! MUM, DAD!" He shouted.
"I love you."
