The sun pierced the early afternoon sky, followed by wisps of beautilfly white clouds.
"Come on, Tommy, you're not chicken are you?" Bruce Wayne shouted.
"Look, I'm not sure we should be doing this," Replied Tommy Elliot, Bruce's friend
"Oh, come on, to the top and back again!" Bruce said, standing next to a huge pile of rocks.
"You go first, and I'll follow you."
"Okay!"
Bruce placed his hand on the first rock and pulled. He then placed his other hand on the next rock. And the next, and the next and the next, until he was nearly at the top.
He was climbing up a pile of abandoned wood and rock at the bottom of his statley home's garden; They'd been there since he was born, his mother and father kept telling him not to climb up them, but he never did know why.
But soon he would find out.
"Bruce, you nearly at the top now, don't you think you should stop?"
"Not until I get right up to the top! Today's the day that I find out what mum and dad are really hiding up here!"
"And what do you think it is?" Inquisited Tommy,
"I'm not sure but I bet I'll find-"
There was a huge crash, and all the rocks vanished into the earth, along with Bruce.
"BRUCE!" Screamed Tommy.
He ran up to the house where Mr. Thomas Wayne, Bruce's father was.
"Mister Wayne! Mister Wayne! Bruce fell through the ground!"
Thomas imediatley stood up from reading his news paper.
"WHAT?! MARTHA, ALFRED GET ME THE ROPE, NOW!"
Bruce had landed in a large cave full of rocks. The only light there was coming from the freshly made hole above him.
He was all alone.
Scared.
Cold.
"HELP!" He bellowed,
"PLEASE, SOMEONE, HELP ME!"
Then he heard something.
Bats.
"HELP, PLEASE!" He screamed as they screeched and flew around him.
"Please, the bats! THE BATS!"
"PLEASE!, SOMEONE! The....t..he...the.....b...bats."
